While Matt Reeves kind of left us hanging with his first tease of Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit, he’s now gone all out with this reveal of the new Batmobile. What’s great is, we also get to see the cowl that everyone has been arguing about online.

With Batman Begins introducing us to more bulky designs of the Batmobile, I have to say it’s kind of refreshing to get another compact version for the upcoming movie. A lot of people have been comparing the design to the 60s Batmobile driven by Adam West, and I think it also kind of has some influences from Knight Rider’s KITT as well as the DeLorean from Back to the Future.
Rumor has it that the movie will focus on Batman in his prime, and will feature a Caped Crusader that’s been running around Gotham for 2 years. We don’t know the story of the movie yet, but it’s said to feature multiple villains and will be like a ‘day in the life’ of Batman; then again, this is all just speculation. Until we get an official synopsis, all we can really do is wait and see.
With the movie set for a release in the summer of next year, fingers are crossed that we’ll get our first teaser sometime later in 2020. My best bet is that we get something in July at SDCC 2020. I’m not saying it’s official, but it’s my best guess.
Catch The Batman when it hits theaters June 25, 2021.
