Ahead of its Hall H panel, Warner Bros. is releasing a seeming slew of teaser posters for its upcoming films. The latest in the string is Kong: Skull Island, which stars Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson. Though we’ve already gotten several views from the set and some stills, we have yet to get a lot of solid details on the plot. What we do know is this will precede the upcoming clash of the legendary screen monsters: King Kong and Godzilla.
Lest you think this a reboot, Hiddleston elaborated to Entertainment Weekly:
“I don’t want to spoil too much… But it’s a whole new re-conception of the mythology. It essentially follows a group of disparate travelers and explorers and soldiers who travel to an undiscovered island in the South Pacific. And it’s set in a time period where you could conceive that there are still undiscovered places on the earth. What they find on the island is surprising, and then every character has a very different response to it. It’s going to be spectacular and epic, but also the human drama is kind of interesting as well.”
Hiddleston and Larson will be joined by director Jordan Vogt-Roberts and other cast members Saturday morning at the San Diego Comic-Con for Warner Bros. highly-anticipated Hall H panel.
Kong: Skull Island, also starring Samuel L. Jackson and John Goodman, hits US and UK theaters March 10, 2017.
