When Captain Marvel came out, it was said that the role of Yon-Rogg (Jude Law) was originally meant for Keanu Reeves, but he couldn’t commit to the project. Now rumor has it that Reeves’ is actually in talks to join an upcoming Marvel production.

This comes from MCU Cosmic , Reeves is in talks to join The Eternals. We don’t have any information on who he would be playing, but Reeves would be joining an all-star cast which includes the likes of Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, and Kumail Nanjiani.

With The Eternals admittedly being an obscure franchise for Marvel, it would make sense that the studio would want to bring audiences in with star power. At this point, this will be Phase 4’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and ensemble film about nobodies which Marvel is hoping to turn into another franchise.

Marvel head Kevin Feige had this to say about the movie last year:

“You’re reaction about not being familiar with the Eternals is perfect, because most people weren’t familiar with Guardians [of the Galaxy] and believe it or not there were people that were not familiar with Avengers or with Iron Man… So for us, its finding great stories whether people have heard of them or not and bring them to the big screen in as amazing a ways as we can.

No release date has been set for The Eternals. Catch Reeves in John Wick 3 now in theaters.
