It is being reported that Universal will attach their trailer for J.A. Bayona’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom to Star Wars: The Last Jedi this December. The report comes via an Instagram account from a t-shirt company attending a Brand Licensing Expo taking place in London.
It makes sense that you’d attach the first look at one of the most eagerly anticipated franchise installments of the last few years, Jurassic World having made $1.67b at the box office, to, well, THE most eagerly anticipated franchise inatsallment of all time, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Set for release on June 22nd 2018, Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom is directed by A Monster Calls and El Orfanato filmmaker J.A. Bayona. Bringing back Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy), Bryce Dallas-Howard (Black Mirror), and most excitedly of all, Jeff Goldblum (Thor: Ragnarock) as Dr. Ian Malcolm, the sequel will hope to exceed the huge box office of Colin Trevorrow’s franchise reinvigorater. Joining the monster mash will be Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger), Rafe Spall (Prometheus), Justice Smith (The Get Down), Ted Levine (Silence of the Lambs), James Cromwell (Babe), and Geraldine Chaplin (A Monster Calls).
The official synopsis for the film reveals very little about the direction the story is taking, but Bayona will be working from a script by ousted Star Wars IX duo, Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly (Kong: Skull Island and Monster Trucks).
