Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is always on Twitter to answer questions and in one of her latest posts, she revealed who her favorite character is aside from Harry.
Rowling’s one-word response was just, “Dumbledore.”

The comment comes just after the first teaser trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them revealed that Dumbledore has at least a small part in it. We learned that Dumbledore was a big supporter of Newt Scamander, the character played by Eddie Redmayne. Sadly, Dumbledore couldn’t help Newt after he was expelled from Hogwarts since Dumbledore was only a young teacher at the time.

Why does Dumbledore like Newt? Rowling also answered that question on Twitter, writing, “Albus Dumbledore is fond of Newt Scamander for the same reasons that I am fond of Newt Scamander. You’re welcome.”
