IT: Chapter Two made another splash in the box office last weekend, but it looks like director Andy Muschietti isn’t completely done with the franchise. As it turns out, he’s working on a ‘Super Cut’ of the film, splicing both IT movies back to back and even adding some additional material.

In an interview with Fandango, Muschietti explained:

“We’re still talking about it. It’s in the early stages, but it’s going to be the two movies cut back to back with all of the scenes that were not included.”

He also adds that he wants to shoot a couple of more things for the extended cut, but he didn’t really go into specifics. My guess is that it has something to do with Pennywise, and we’ll finally get that deleted scene from the first film which showed Pennywise in the scaring a woman into feeding him her baby. Of course, it’s still possible that Muschietti has something completely different in mind.

If anything, I’m sure the pre-teen orgy scene from the books is off the table.

With Watchmen and Batman v Superman getting ‘Ultimate Cuts’, I’m interested to see what Muschietti has in mind for IT. My ideal version would actually have both movies shortened so we can have a more digestible whole story, but if modern audiences can binge watch multiple 1-hour episodes of a show on Netflix, then I’m sure a 4-hour cut of IT will be a walk in the park.

The super cut for IT hasn’t been officially announced, but you can watch IT: Chapter Two in theaters today.
