Ed Boon has already done plenty of Red Hood teasing for Injustice 2. Over the summer, the Mortal Kombat co-creator ran a Twitter poll asking which version of the Red Hood fans want to see most. The options were, of course, between Joker and the former Batman sidekick. Well, Boon’s back with another poll featuring the Red Hood. However, this time, the poll was in regards to the sons of Batman — Damien Wayne’s Robin, Jason Todd’s Red Hood, and Dick Grayson’s Nightwing.
Boon ran the poll for two days. You can see the results below:

It’s more than fair to say that Red Hood won by a landslide. Although, it’s also worth noting that both Nightwing and Damien Wayne featured in, and were playable, in Injustice: Gods Among Us. Over the last several years, Jason Todd’s anti-heroic alter-ego has become incredibly popular. He recently featured prominently in Batman: Arkham Knight, but that was after starring in the beloved animated film, Batman: Under the Red Hood.
The character was absent from Injustice: Gods Among Us. Not only was he not a playable character, he also never appeared during the story mode, nor was he ever mentioned. Todd’s place as a vigilante in a Superman-ruled world is incredibly interesting. Was he at all a presence within the insurgency? Hopefully, we’ll get to find out.
In the past, Ed Boon has noted that often these polls mean NetherRealm has already selected the character in question. What the polls decide is who will get revealed next. Something similar occurred with the Blue Beetle announcement over the summer. Does this mean a Red Hood reveal is imminent? For now, we can only guess that’s the case.
Interestingly, we haven’t heard much from Injustice 2 since Deadshot and Harley Quinn were revealed at Gamescom. We have to be on the verge of another reveal and soon. If so, be on the look out for potential guest character announcements, as well.
