Watch: Batman v Everyone in ‘Injustice 2’ Announcement Trailer

The cat’s been out of the bag on this one for a while, with Warner Bros. and NetherRealm unfortunately being unable to reveal the title themselves. E3 is Christmas for gamers, and some industry insiders like to spoil the surprise before presents are opened on Christmas morning. We knew an official announcement was coming before E3, per a few crafty rumors, and now is the time. Behold Injustice 2 in all of its wondrous glory!

Is that Batman narrating? If so, it surely doesn’t sound like Kevin Conroy, but if they couldn’t get him this time around, it’s understandable. He has been busy with Batman: The Killing Joke, after all. What’s especially striking about the trailer is that it seems to be the Bat versus everyone else. Though a certain Girl of Steel does come in to offer him a nice assist.

Supergirl in Injustice 2

We get shots of at least 5 confirmed characters: Superman, Batman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Supergirl. They all have a basic form of their suits, if you will, with armored attachments added later for extra awesomeness… and additional protection, of course. Perhaps the most fantastic of the alterations is Batman’s. The Batman Beyond armor is looking nice and it begs the question of which Bat we’ll be seeing. Could this be Terry McGinnis? It’s doubtful, but so was Superman being a murderous tyrant in the first game.

Is this another elseworld story, perhaps a continuation of Injustice: Gods Among Us, or something different entirely? Concrete details about the plot will probably remain secret, if they aren’t leaked, until E3 when the game likely appears on either the Microsoft or Sony press conference stage this coming Monday. Let us know your thoughts and theories in the comments below.
