The Jaime Lannister personality make-over continues!

After being released by Roose Bolton to return to King’s Landing, creepy doctor Qyburn tells Jaime that Brienne will not be returned to her father for fake sapphires.  So, Jaime convinces the men he’s with to take him back to Harrenhal.  Once there, he sees that Brienne has been thrown into a pit – with a giant BEAR in it – with nothing but a stick to defend herself.  I would feel bad for the bear, but from the looks of it, Brienne was struggling to keep from becoming lunch.

After Jaime can’t get the men to call off the bear, Jaime essentially sacrifices himself by jumping into the pit with Brienne (of course, knowing the value that he was way more valuable to them alive) so that he can help her get out first.

If there were any viewers still on the fence about Jaime’s humanity, this should have definitely cemented him on the side of good.  At least sometimes.  For certain people.  When he felt like it.  He’s definitely over 50% good at this point.

Nobody’s perfect.

Next: Jaime gives Brienne his Valyrian steel sword and sends her to find and protect Sansa
