Death is something Game of Thrones does best. Most deaths on the show are rather creative and horrible. In fact, only one onscreen death occurred naturally. Maester Aemon of the Night’s Watch died of old age, pure and simple. Over the course of six years and countless losses of life, that’s an amazing feat. No one else has been so lucky. While many deaths have been the result of treachery and horror, one has to admit there are some deaths that have even the most life-respecting viewers cheering. Justice is occasionally served on Game of Thrones. Here is a rundown of the 20 most satisfying deaths so far.
Mirri Maz Duur-Died in Season 1
How she pissed us off:
• Lied to Daenerys about being trying to save Khal Drogo’s life through a blood ritual. Though she brought him from the brink of death (as promised), she vindictively left him in a vegetative state as payback for her village being enslaved by Drogo’s army.
• Indirectly, Daenerys went into early labor when Drogo’s bloodrider pushed her to the ground on his way to (unsuccessfully) stop the ritual. Her son was then stillborn, though also deformed.
