A lot of people weren’t expecting the Addams Family spinoff Wednesday to be the mega-hit that it was, and now the show is ready to come back to Netflix for the second season.
Part 1 of Season 2 is set to release in August, and we have our first teaser which has Wednesday (willingly) coming back to Nevermore Academy. Check this out:
We don’t know exactly what the story for the second season is going to be, but it does look like we’re going to be getting more of Wednesday’s signature goth fish out of water. It looks like there’s going to be another kind of mystery that Wednesday is going to be in the middle of, and we’re going to be seeing a bunch more kooky characters—including one that’s played by Steve Buscemi.
I’ll admit, the tone of Wednesday is something that you have to kind of ease into, but once you get the general vibe of the show, you’ll be in for the ride. Besides Wednesday herself, the show also has a bunch of fantastic side characters like Wednesday’s roommate Enid; plus there’s also the equally kooky Addams Family who show up from time to time.
I just hope that Netflix goes ahead and make a new Addams Family spinoff because I thought the 90s films were great, and I’d want to see a modern take on the big screen with the cast from Wednesday reprising their roles.
Part 1 of Season 2 premieres on Netflix on Aug. 6, and Part 2 comes out Sept. 3.
