The new Spider-Man movie Spider-Man: Homecoming has finally started filming this week, and naturally images from the set have started to leak online. Spoilerphobes need not fear just yet, though, as the only spoilers you will get from the photos released so far concern Peter Parker’s fashion choices.
It was revealed on Monday that work on the movie had begun, thanks to a Facebook post from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn. Gunn let his fans know that filming on his movie had wrapped at Pinewoods Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, and that Homecoming was starting straight away. He also posted a photo of himself with Tom ‘Spider-Man’ Holland and Chris ‘Star-Lord’ Pratt, which is a crossover we didn’t know we wanted until now. Maybe it will happen in Avengers: Infinity War?
Shortly after that, snaps taken from filming leaked online. The pictures give us our first glimpses of Tom Holland as Peter in his own film, Nickelodeon’s Zendaya as the female lead Michelle and Tony Revolori of The Grand Budapest Hotel as Manuel. Take a look below.

These images come hot off the news that Stan Lee might have just filmed a cameo for the movie (as well as two other Marvel films). Comedian Hannibal Buress has also just been confirmed to feature in the film. He is joining a pretty impressive cast of talent, including Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man (duh?), Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Michael Keaton (thought to be the film’s main villain, possibly The Vulture) and Donald Glover in an unknown role. Other cast members include Logan Marshall-Green, Kenneth Choi, Michael Barbieri, Laura Harrier, Martin Starr and many others. Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts and will be swinging onto theatre screens on July 7th 2017 in the US.
