Some set photos of Kristen Wiig on the set of Wonder Woman 1984 leaked earlier this month, but now we have an official photo of Wiig in character courtesy of director Patty Jenkins.

Wiig is set to play the villain Cheetah. Rumor has it that the movie will actually start out with her being Diana’s ally. Then it will see her try to usurp her from… something, I guess.
A lot of people say that Cheetah is the main adversary for the movie, but I’m kind of convinced that there is actually a bigger villain behind the scenes. Rumor has it that Pedro Pascal’s character is actually a god, and some guess that he’s playing God of the Underworld Hades.
Personally, I think that the sorceres Circe is in this film. She does have a penchant for turning people into animals, and I thought Cheetah was going to be one of her lackeys.
So far, we don’t know what the story of WW 84 is going to be, but it will have Diana in America, at the end of the Cold War era. Let’s hope it properly sets up her character for Batman v Superman. What’s a cinematic franchise without a little continuity?
