Tina Fey and Steve Carell Reunite in First Look at Netflix’s The Four Seasons Remake

Netflix has just made some big reveals for their upcoming 2025 slate, and one movie that got a first look is a remake of the classic The Four Seasons starring Carol Burnett and Alan Alda.

Here’s a look at The Four Seasons with a new cast that includes Tina Fey, Will Forte, Colman Domingo, and Steve Carell:

The original movie followed the story of three couples who would always vacation together, but their dynamics change when one of them gets divorced. Though the original was a film, this reboot is said to be an eight-episode series. Fey is credited as the creator of the show, and she also brought along her fellow 30 Rock writer/producers Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield.

Fey talks to TUDUM about creating the series:

“Tracey, Lang, and I have talked about the show being a love letter to long-term relationships, both platonic and romantic… because your life is ideally more than just the person you’re married to. Sometimes when you are struggling with something with just your spouse, you need a group of friends to bring humor to it. Those friendships really help marriages, I think. Having a person who just fulfills a part of you that your spouse can’t quite [fulfill] is very important.”

Though the premise does seem pretty plain, the fact that Fey is behind the project already means that fans should expect her to have her own original spin to the premise. The series has managed to gather a great cast, and I’m just happy to see Steve Carell pursue comedy again after years of dramatic roles.

No release date has been set for The Four Seasons, but fans should expect it to premiere on Netflix sometime later this year.
