Star Wars: Trailer for Final Season of The Bad Batch Brings Back a Clone Wars Icon

Star Wars: Resistance may not have been able to last as long as planned, but Dave Filoni still has The Bad Batch as the main animated SW fix for fans.

The series has been getting a lot of acclaim from fans, and now they’re gearing up for the final season. And in true Filoni fashion, the trailer has a reveal for one more fan-favorite. Check this out:

With Omega in the custody of the Empire and the death of members like Tech, it does look like the Bad Batch is down to only two original members left—Hunter and Wrecker. The trailer showcases that Crosshair is still working for the Empire, but seeing that he doesn’t look to happy to be there, it’s likely we could see him redeem himself and help free Omega.

No doubt, the biggest reveal is that of Asajj Ventress, who had been killed off in the canon story Star Wars: Dark Disciple which came out in 2015. In that book, Vetress sacrifices herself for her lover Quinlan Vos, and was buried on Dathomir.

We don’t know exactly what the series has planned for her, but she does come with a snazzy new haircut and is wielding a yellow lightsaber—just like her appearance in Dark Disciple. She was supposed to be dead by the end of the Clone Wars, so maybe we could be seeing her in a flashback.

Then again, nobody really stays dead in Star Wars, so I’m not ruling out a clone.

The final season of The Bad Batch premieres on Disney+ with three episodes on Feb. 21.
