Fantastic Four: First Steps is going to take another stab at the Galactus story arc, but they’ve been pretty sparing when it comes to revealing the Devourer of Worlds.
Thanks to some promo art though, we have our first (very pixelated peek) at Galactus, complete with helmet and armor. Check this out:

With Galactus just being a cloud in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, it looks like First Steps is going to be embracing the full wackiness of a giant alien guy in a suit. We don’t know exactly how he works yet, but I would love it if he was still just actor Ralph Ineson wearing a practical outfit rather than a full CG character.
With Fant4tic really trying to embrace the dark, edgy version of the Fantastic Four, it looks like First Steps is going to go the complete opposite direction by being colorful and hopeful, with fully comic-accurate villains.
In a comic book movie climate where realism has been king for so long, it’s kind of refreshing to see something that embraces the wackiness of the original comics, yet still taking it completely straight—based on what we see in the trailers.
With Marvel movies having become a mixed bag ever since Avengers: Endgame, it does seem like Marvel Studios really needs this win with Fantastic Four. Either way, the film still looks amazing, and could be the brand reboot that gets people excited about the MCU again.
Fantastic Four: First Steps comes to cinemas on July 25.
