We know Elle Fanning is going to be in highly anticipated projects like Death Stranding 2 and the next live-action Predator movie, but she’s also signed up to be in one of the most prevalent movie franchises in modern day—The Hunger Games.
As per the official announcement, Fanning has been cast in the role of Effie Trinket in the upcoming prequel Sunrise on the Reaping. Check out the post:

The role of Effie was originally played by Elizabeth Banks in the films, and besides being the escort for Katniss and Peeta, she was also known for her lavish outfits—what with being a local of the Capitol.
Although Effie did buy into the Hunger Games’ system and the Capitol propaganda, she still ended up working for the rebellion and helping Katniss with her revolutionary image even after she left the Capitol stage.
As for the prequel, Effie is said to be Haymitch’s stylist when it comes to the Games. It’s worth noting that Effie also has a younger sister Prosperina who appears in the book, but it’s not clear if she will have a role in the movie yet.
When it comes to the casting of Fanning, a lot of people think that she was a great choice. If you’ve watched her on The Great, you’ll know that she’s used to being in very intricate costumes—perfect for a character like Effie.
The Sunrise cast continues to be filled up, and it’s exciting to come back to another era of the franchise with a whole new batch of familiar characters.
