El Camino: Breaking Bad Star Confirms His Return

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie promises to bring back at least 10 actors from the original series, and we already have confirmation that Jesse’s idiot friends Badger and Skinny Pete will be making an appearance. What’s interesting is, another Breaking Bad star has confirmed his involvement with the film, and it pretty much also confirms that we’re going to be having some flashbacks.

Talking to ET Canada, Mike Ehermantraut actor Jonathan Banks has revealed that he’s going to have a role in El Camino. When asked whether he was going to be in the film, Banks answered:

“Yes. They’ll hit me in the head for saying this, but yes. Why not? None of those guys hit very hard anyway.”

Like I said, this pretty much confirms that El Camino will have flashbacks, seeing as Mike had been long dead by the time of the finale. Though Breaking Bad pretty much ended in the best way possible, there are admittedly a lot of loose ends that are left up in the air—one of which is the status of Mike’s granddaughter Kaylee.

If you remember, Mike had been saving up a trust fund for Kaylee that was taken by the DEA near the end of the show. Jesse tried to give his money to Kaylee was well, but was advised against it by Saul. Hopefully Jesse gets to meet Kaylee in El Camino, and maybe she could get the closer she deserves on what happened to her grandfather.

Catch El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie when it hits Netflix on Oct. 11.
