Disney Screened A Sneak Peek For Solo: A Star Wars Story; Here’s The First Reaction

Solo: A Star Wars Story is set to come out this May, and with still no trailer in sight, fans are starting to get worried that Lucasfilm is not confident with what Ron Howard has to offer. Apparently, Disney has screened a sneak peek during an event in Munich, Germany, and it looks like the film is going to bring plenty of fan-service.

Though fan-service is a good thing, I’m just hoping that Solo doesn’t end up being an empty film chock-full of nostalgia. Though some fans may claim that The Last Jedi “ruined their childhood,” I was incredibly pleased with Rian Johnson’s treatment of the characters; it felt fresh and unpredictable, and now I’m excited to see what J.J. Abrams has in store for Episode IX.

As for the delay of the Solo trailer, my speculation is that Lucasfilm is trying to wait for the hype of The Last Jedi to die down first before they start marketing the film. Whether it’s franchise fatigue, or just trying to avoid audience confusion, I think the marketing team would like to separate Solo with TLJ as much as they can.

My best bet is we get our first trailer by the end of January. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is set to come out May 25.
