The trailers for Detective Pikachu have been nothing short of fun, what with music like So Happy Together and I Need A Hero. Now Ryan Reynolds has shared a more emotional preview for the film, and even has a tender moment between the lead Pikachu and protagonist Tim.
This time around, there’s more emphasis on bringing the live-action world of Pokemon to life. Since its creation in the 90s, we’ve been getting several animated takes on the IP, but this will be the first time we actually get to see what Pokemon would actually look like in real life. No doubt, if this movie is going to be a success, it’s going to depend heavily on how believable the Pokemon will be.
I do have to say though, the trailers have been slowly growing on me. While the first teaser kind of got mixed reviews from audiences, I think everyone is slowly warming up to this live-action world of Ryme City. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see till the film comes out to really get a good gauge on the appeal of Detective Pikachu.
