The first Deadpool showed us that Wade has an affinity for corny music, and with the sequel so close to releasing, Celine Dion has come up with a music video promoting a song she made for the Deadpool 2 soundtrack.
Behold, Ashes:
At first I thought it was an original music video that Dion did with Deadpool. However, if you go deeper into the vid, you can see that Deadpool really was part of the show. The Merc with a Mouth even went as far as to dance alongside Dion on stage. Though I doubt that it was Ryan Reynolds pulling off those dance moves in heels, I think he’s the one playing Deadpool in the end of the video asking Dion to tone the performance down.
I absolutely love this video. It gives us a good taste of the humor that we can expect in Deadpool 2 and it reminds us Deadpool dances with flair.
The first Deadpool showed us Wade’s love for George Michael. This time it’s Celine Dione. I bet this sequel is going to have some fun quips about the singer and Titanic. Maybe we’ll even get to see the Merc with A Mouth spinning with Celine in the movie. Who knows. Deadpool’s always had a thing for corny ballads.
But Dione isn’t the only artist in Deadpool 2‘s soundtrack.The Deadpool sequel’s soundtrack also has Diplo, Dolly Parton, French Montana, Skrillex, Run The Jewels, Cher, and Lil Pump. Those who want an early taste of the film’s soundtrack can pre-order the album now. The soundtrack’s album drops on the same day the film releases.
Deadpool 2 is directed by David Leitch and stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, and Zazie Beetz. Returning cast members from the first film also include T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Brianna Hildebrand.
Deadpool 2 hits theaters May 18.
