Solo: A Star Wars Story was a fun adventure movie by itself, but the film also has a lot of great Easter Eggs and reveals for fans of the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Besides mentions of characters like Aurra Sing and Bossk, the closing scenes gave us a look at the real leader of Crimson Dawn, Darth Maul. Thanks to IGN, we can finally watch the scene online.

This release comes a few days before the digital release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Though Maul had seemingly died way back in Episode I, he has had a very interesting character growth in the animated series, and a lot of fans thought it was great payoff to see him back onscreen.

Of course, by the time of Star Wars Rebels, Maul is a lonely old man in Malachor. I’m just hoping that Star Wars continues this loosely tied crime syndicate exploration and ends with an explanation on how Maul eventually got there. I’d also like to see how Han and Qi’Ra’s love story eventually ends.

Luacsfilm has also released some official clips of Ray Park in the Maul outfit:

Though Solo: A Star Wars Story didn’t make the most money at the box office, a lot of people agree that it was mostly due to the film coming out after box office giants like Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool; not to mention Disney’s slow advertising push for the film.

Anyone who saw Solo will tell you the movie was great, and that the characters, both new and returning, were a breath of fresh air and a delight to see onscreen.

Solo: A Star Wars Story comes to digital Sept. 14.
