Remember when Dany’s dragons hatched from their eggs in Game of Thrones season one? They were such tiny and fragile creatures. Fast-forward to the closing scenes of season six of Game of Thrones and the beasts are huge. We’d heard rumblings for a while that Drogon and the others would get even bigger in season seven. Some even said that they’d be the size of Jumbo jets. Now, we have confirmation of just how massive the beasts will be.
With only a couple of months to go until the new season drops, HBO have given us a fresh set of images to set our eyes on via EW. Whilst Jon Snow, Cersei and others haven’t moved on much from season six, Daenerys’s fiery dragons certainly have. You can check out the new image below.
In what appears to be a battle, Daenerys and her dragon, likely Drogon, dwarf the picture. Towering above the soldiers, if we can take one thing from the new image, it’s that the last Targaryen is coming for the Iron Throne.
The end of Game of Thrones is nearing. With only two seasons left to tie up every loose end, we can expect some big battles in season seven of Game of Thrones. Last year’s Battle of the Bastards was the season’s epic. Yet, with Dany bringing her dragons into the action in Westeros this time around expect an even bigger fiery bloodbath.
With Daenerys making her way through Westeros, along with the rise of the White Walkers in the north, the next two seasons will be crammed full of action. We’ve already seen that dragonglass is the key to defeating the White Walkers north of the Wall. So, we can only expect to see more awesome appearances from Drogon, Viserion and Rhaegal in season seven and eight.
Game of Thrones season seven premieres on July 16th on HBO.
