Marvel’s partnership with Netflix continues to produce excellence, and it shows no sign of slowing momentum as they gear up for the impending team-up series, The Defenders. The series will include Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. While not much is known about what can be expected from the series, Daredevil actor, Charlie Cox, revealed that the show’s filming date is set for later this year.
At a Netflix event in Paris, the Matt Murdock/Daredevil actor, from Marvel’s Daredevil, revealed the news. He also affirmed that Daredevil will very much be involved. “What we do know is at the end of this year we’re going to be making The Defenders and, of course, Daredevil is very much a part of that foursome.”
While he was able to reveal this interesting tidbit of news, the actor, like the rest of us, is still completely in the dark on what narrative the series is set to tell. “I have no idea what the storyline is going to be for that show. I’m very excited to see how those world’s combine… and interested to see tonally how those shows become one.”
We may be waiting a while for any more concrete information on The Defenders, but in the meantime at least we have Daredevil season 2 and Jessica Jones to keep us occupied. Luke Cage is on its way as well, with a premier date of September 30 already scheduled for release on the streaming service.
