Very few animated shows on Netflix manage to absolutely floor its audience, but Raphael Bob-Waksberg has done some amazing work with his show, BoJack Horseman. The series had a stellar fourth season last year, and now we have a release date for the fifth season.
What’s cool is, the announcement is made to look like an immature rant from BoJack himself. Check it out:
With the show usually showing us BoJack’s downward spiral into depression and existential anxiety, the fourth season actually ended with a more positive note—having BoJack have a family member that he actually wants to take care of.
We don’t know where the show will go for Season 5, but it’s a good guess that we’re going to follow more individual character journeys for the likes of Todd, Princess Carolyn, Mr. Peanut Butter, Diane, and of course, BoJack. After season four, a lot of people are convinced that Mr. PB and Diane will be getting a divorce in this next season.
After the announcement of the release date, hopefully we get our first trailer sometime next month. A good guess they might release it at Comic-Con.
