Recent headlines have been made that Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown is being eyed for Star Wars, but it looks like a galaxy far far away will have to wait.
According to a recent post from Netflix, Brown will be teaming up with Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo for a film called Electric State. Here’s the announcement:
Millie Bobby Brown will star in The Electric State, a sci-fi movie directed by The @Russo_Brothers.
Set in a retro-futuristic past, it follows an orphaned teen (Brown) as she traverses the American West with a robot and an eccentric drifter in search of her younger brother. pic.twitter.com/A9mqvGowax

Besides Brown, the movie is also said to star Chris Pratt, who fans will best know as Star-Lord from the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. We don’t have a look at Pratt and Brown in character yet, but with the Russos onboard, we should expect nothing short of a blockbuster.
With Stranger Things set to end soon, Brown is certainly making herself one busy star on and off-camera. Though she has appeared onscreen with the recent Godzilla films, she’s also credited as a producer with her other Netflix property, Enola Holmes.
Despite her other jobs, Brown’s most popular character is no doubt Eleven from Stranger Things, and the series is currently riding a high with the positive reception of the latest season. The show is actually on its final legs with the fifth season deemed to be the last, but like Breaking Bad, we think that the Duffer Brothers know just when to stop the series before it starts feeling too stale.
No release date has been announced for Electric State, but you can catch brown in the second Volume of Stranger Things 4 which premieres on Netflix on July 1.
