While there aren’t any more Superhero films hitting theatres in 2016, The CW’s big DC TV crossover is basically our final comic book film of the year. The
four three and a bit night crossover pits the Green Arrow, Flash and co. against alien invaders. Ahead of their big Invasion! event, some of the stars have discussed what’s in store for the heroes of each show.
John Diggle had an interesting reaction to the Flash a couple of years ago, so what will he make of aliens? “I always think it’s fun when Diggle gets to go to these other worlds,” David Ramsey told TVLine. “He’s really a nuts-and-bolts kind of guy, and metahumans kind of freak him out a bit. So I really wanted to see this whole Diggle/Supergirl reaction.”
It’s not just Diggle who’ll have an interesting reaction. Sara Lance is going to have quite an interesting view on Supergirl. The Waverider’s new captain will eventually have a crush on the Kryptonian visitor, that won’t be her first impression. According to Caity Lotz, she’s a little afraid of the Girl of Steel:
“She’s intimidated by her, at first, because she’s used to being the bad bitch in town. Then all of a sudden comes this alien girl who can, like, levitate and burn things with her eyes. I think [Sara needs to get] over that intimidation and go, ‘OK, I see you.’ She’s impressed by her.”
Maisie Richardson-Sellers is a newcomer to this universe, but her Vixen is quickly meeting the rest of the heroes. While she’s going to have little time for introductions, she teased that there’ll be some time for her to hang out in 2016 at the end of Thursday’s Legends of Tomorrow. Sellers said the, “wonderful”, finale sees, “everyone together, sort of celebrating in a sense and that’s when they begin to chat a bit.”
The Invasion! crossover starts at the end of Monday night’s Supergirl. The story continues in The Flash on Tuesday and Arrow on Wednesday, before the finale on Legends of Tomorrow.
