With the whole world going on lockdown thanks to the Coronavirus Pandemic, Ant-Man star Evangeline Lilly has come out to say that she’s refusing to self-quarantine; and what’s more, she’s making it look like the pandemic is some kind of hoax for the government to seize power.
She got a lot of flak for posting this on her IG:
When people started calling her out for endangering her kids and other people, she commented:
“I am also immune compromised at the moment… I have two young kids. Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices.”
In another comment, she also said:
“Where we are right now feels a lot too close to Marshall Law [sic] for my comfort already, all in the name of a respiratory flu… It’s unnerving…Let’s be vigilant right now. And kind. Watchful and gracious — keeping a close eye on our leaders, making sure they don’t abuse this moment to steal away more freedoms and grab more power.”
Regardless, a lot of people aren’t happy with Lilly’s reaction, and are pointing out how irresponsible she is being online. She even got the attention of Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner who felt like she was calling Lilly out specifically with her IG Live video:

If anything, this quarantine is slowly showing off another side of celebrities that kind of gives us a look at how out of touch they are with everyone else. Besides Lilly, Vanessa Hudgens had also been called out for her weird rant about people dying being ‘innevitable.’No doubt we’re going to see more of this ‘celebrity clownship’ as the quarantine keeps rolling.
