According to ComicBookMovie, some fans appear to have spotted something very exciting in the latest Justice League trailer. Released last week, the trailer shows us the Justice League team together for the first time ahead of the November 17th premiere. Yet, CBM reckons an important detail has been uncovered about one of the battle scenes in the movie. The detail comes from a shot of Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash and Cyborg as they prepare to fight Darkseid’s army of Parademons. In the distance, several characters are fighting the Parademons in the sky.
This can only mean one thing for DC fans — the Thanagarians of Thanagar are featuring in the new Justice League movie. CBM notes the following:
The Thanagarians of Thanagar were confirmed to be a part of the DC Films Universe back in the Man of Steel prequel comic following Kara Zor-El and the origins of the scout ship in the Arctic, aka the Fortress of Solitude. If the Thanagarians really were involved in defending Earth against Darkseid, it’s possible we might see the arrival of the fan-favorite League members Hawkman and Hakwgirl a lot sooner than we thought.
In case you thought this was to good to be true, here’s the proof:
As CBM points out, the flying characters could be Parademons. However, as they note, the Parademons on the ground appear to be firing at them. This only supports the idea that the characters could well be Thanagarians arriving to help the Justice League.
Of course, we can’t be completely sure that these characters are the Thanagarians. The Thanagarians have already become a part of the movie universe, featuring in Man of Steel. Until Warner Bros. confirm this, however, it’s still speculation.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
