8 Major Things We Learnt From Star Wars Celebration Europe

1) A Darth Vader VR Project is in the Works

Is seeing Vader in Rogue One not enough for you? Then how about having the Sith Lord at the centre of a brand spanking new Star Wars virtual reality project? Are you satisfied now?

At the ILMxLAB panel on Saturday, we learned that one of the franchise’s first explorations into VR technology will revolve around – surprise, surprise – ol’ Anakin. What’s more, screenwriter David Goyer (most known for the Dark Knight films) is attached to the project.

Here’s what Goyer said about it:

“When we looked at all the characters, places, and worlds in the Star Wars universe available to us, we asked ourselves, ‘What haven’t we seen before? Who are we curious about?’ Darth Vader is the perfect ambassador to usher us into the Star Wars VR universe.”

Meanwhile, other VR experience Trials on Tatooine was made available for free on Steam from Monday 18th July. Though you do need HTC Vive VR headset to try it out.

You can gawp at the trailer for that one above.
