The Circus is in Town
Like Renner said, Daredevil was an excellent model for this type of storytelling. I’m not talking about the violence. Part of that model was the use of flashbacks. Barton’s origin story has a lot to do with the circus and that can be told in flashbacks. A lot of which you can take from Fabian Nicieza’s run. This can also make way for Trickshot and Swordsman to make their first MCU appearances.
The other circus-like character that would be interesting to include is the clown-faced assassin, Kazimierz Kazimierczak. Throw in Ringmaster and you have the show’s main antagonists.
Charlie Cox has expressed interest in tackling Bullseye for the third Daredevil season. The writers could pull from Dark Avengers/Dark Reign and have Bullseye pull a faux-Hawkeye for a couple of episodes. I have now covered your Netflix crossover. Find a way to include Rosario Dawson’s Night Nurse and it’d be perfect.
