Jeremy Renner recently spoke to IGN regarding the possibility of a Hawkeye Netflix series:
“I don’t know the practicality of that. Any of these characters that I play, I’d love to dig in and do them more. I never feel like I get enough time with any character I play, and [Hawkeye] is certainly one of them.”
During the last Silicon Valley Comic Con Renner said:
“I think that’s actually a really great model, if there’s ever a way to explore the character, maybe it’s in that world. These are things that are really not in my control, but I’d be open to it. I’ve really enjoyed getting to explore the character more recently. The Netflix model is where all the character drama goes to now, you’re doing a superhero movie or a Netflix or HBO kind of model. So I’d be open to it. Not up to me, though.”
Basically he’s up for it, but Marvel and Netflix need to get the ball rolling first. While there’s no confirmation of this actually happening, Hawkeye fans can only speculate until/if it happens. Here’s 5 things we would like to see from a hypothetical and potential Hawkeye Netflix series:
