‘The 100‘ Season 5 won’t premier until April and Rothenberg just tweeted about wrapping the season today, but a new report on a character leads us to believe that season 6 is being strongly considered.

According to Shannon Kook of ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation,’ he has booked a mystery role on ‘The 100‘. Details about the character are being kept secret at the moment except that he is named Lucas and since Rothenberg tweeted that he’d meet next week even though tonight was the wrap party we have to assume he’s optioned for season 6 if it’s a go, but he might also be filming some re-shoots for season 5, that’s a complete guess on our part.
From the looks of it, he might play an antagonistic role who will be the main big bad in a potential season 6. Which leads us to believe he must be one of the new characters joining The 100 from the prison ship which we saw landing in the final episode of season 4.
In the meantime Kook took to social media to express his excitement about his ‘The 100‘ season 5 gig:
Definitely the WARMEST welcome I’ve received from a new set!

It looks like fans might see more of Lucas in ‘The 100′ season 6 with The CW president Mark Pedowitz teasing the possibility of a renewal at the Television Critics Association and since it’s lead in is ‘The Flash‘ this year it looks like the haters of ‘The 100‘ are going to once again be disappointed.
In the meantime “The 100” season 5 premieres on Tuesday, April 24, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW and you can check out our other posts on ‘The 100′ right here!
