Valve’s Steam store may have let the cat out of the bag on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s final expansion, Blood and Wine. Developer CD Projekt Red have been cagey with details, only offering fans a few teases and screenshots over the last several weeks, but today Steam may have leaked the DLC’s release date and a bit of information on the content players can expect to receive.

The above image has the expansion’s release date set at May 30. The image below details the content that will be featured in Blood and Wine. It confirms new monster hunting missions, which are always exciting unless endregas or arachnids are involved, new gear, that will be susceptible to color swaps with a new mechanic, a combat tournament, and, best of all, a new Gwent deck for Skellige!

Additionally, the information affirms that CD Projekt are sticking to their 20+ hours of play claims. In all likelihood, it will take gamers keen on thorough playthroughs a good 25-30 hours to see everything. However, it doesn’t offer is any details on what can be expected of the overarching narrative. Yes, Geralt will be in Toussaint, but why? How will it relate to the story in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt; is it a prequel, something happening during that story thread, or something else entirely? Maybe the devs are playing their cards, their Gwent cards, close to the chest, and keeping information locked tight until launch day. It wouldn’t be a bad idea, and going in completely blind will only add to the mysterious tale they plan on weaving into an already phenomenally written world.
