With just over a month left before launch, and the game finally gold, Naughty Dog is gearing up for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End with a lengthy gameplay preview and a set of new screenshots. The 16 minutes of gameplay are set in Madagascar and show the endless charm of Drake, the beautiful landscape, and the awesome new additions to the series’ gameplay.
Uncharted 4 has had its fair share of development woes, after the series’ creative director, Amy Hennig, left the studio, due to unknown circumstances, the series’ fourth entry was seemingly overhauled. A different story was presumably in play and Drake’s brother, Sam, was introduced and played by the illustrious Troy Baker. The game’s been delayed three times now, as many times as Irrational’s Bioshock Infinite; with the last delay being cited as a need to sort out potential manufacturing issues.
The game’s official synopsis courtesy of GameSpot:
“The next generation of Nathan Drake will explore what it means when Drake is forced back into the world of thieves. He will embark on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. It’s his greatest adventure yet and will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.”
