Marvel has just announced some amazing news in the form of casting for the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, the next and presumably last installment in the Thor franchise.

While we know, obviously, that Chris Hemsworth is returning as the God of Thunder, as well as Tom Hiddleston as Marvel’s most beloved and successful villain, Loki, there are a lot of new cast members that should really stoke the excitement.

We’ve known for a long while that Mark Ruffalo will be joining as apparently Bruce Banner/The Hulk will be visiting some of the other Nine Realms with his Avengers colleague. Are we the only ones hoping for a rematch with the God of Mischief?

Earlier this year it was announced and now confirmed that two-time Oscar winner and Lothlorien queen, Cate Blanchett, would be joining as well as Hela, the villainess who will really make Ragnarok fun alongside Loki. Additionally, upon speculation, and later confirmation, that Natalie Portman would not be reprising her role as Jane Foster, news came that Tessa Thompson would be brought on board as Valkyrie and likely Thor’s new love interest.

And now this list has just gotten even cooler, if you can imagine that.

Blanchett’s Lord of the Rings castmate, Karl Urban, is now on board as Skurge the Executioner, who often worked for Loki and the Enchantress in the comics. He’s a formidable warrior whose origin is similar to that of Loki’s in that he’s half Frost Giant, half Asgardian.

Amping up the awesome factor here is the announcement that Jeff Goldblum will also be in the film as The Grandmaster, one of the most powerful Elders of the Universe. As such he has some pretty wicked cosmic powers, is impervious to aging, illness, poison, etc. and has unbelievable intellectual power as well.

Go ahead. Take a moment to catch your breath. Enjoy this new Ragnarok concept art via Marvel while you do so:
