So far season 2 of The Flash has been just as good as the first. There’s still plenty left to answer in the final few episodes, and Teddy Sears has revealed a little to EW about Zoom, the season’s big bad. Watch out, there are spoilers in here for the second season.

It was recently revealed that Sears wasn’t playing Jay Garrick, but Hunter Zolomon. He was the man behind Zoom’s mask, and he’s dropped more details about how Hunter turned evil. Sears said:

“What’s really exciting about Hunter Zolomon’s origin story is that it very closely mirrors the Barry Allen origin story. We’re going to see what happened to Hunter as a child look almost exactly like what happened to Barry when he was a child. One man went one way and one man went the other. Which of course gets into some really exciting stuff when Hunter and Barry begin to interact, because there’s a lot of stuff that bubbles up to the surface for Hunter that he didn’t realize was there.”

While Hunter is evil, it turns out he didn’t betray every member of the Flash team. When asked if the character had real feelings for Caitlin Snow, Sears replied:

“While there were games being played on all the other members of S.T.A.R. Labs, what he felt for Caitlin was the real deal. He essentially is one gigantic liar who has played them all, but he never played her. There are real feelings there.”

Sears also revealed when we’ll find out the identity of Zoom’s prisoner in the iron mask. People have thrown up all kinds of possibilities, but now we know when we’ll find out the answer:

“We reveal it in the finale. I had no clue last week. I didn’t know who the guy was. I didn’t even have a clue. I don’t even know what to say because it’s such a fun thing to me being nice and vague and untouched. I can promise that it will be revealed and it will be quite satisfying.”

The Flash season two finale airs May 24th on the CW.
