PlayStation kicked their GDC presence off with a bang when Andrew House revealed the $399 USD price of the VR device. After being silent about the headset for the last few months, Sony is continuing this week’s trend of spilling the beans with the announcement of Launch Bundle pre-orders going live Tuesday, March 22 at 7am PST. It’s an exclusive pre-sale bundle being manufactured in limited quantities and will include the following:

  • All contents of the PS VR core bundle:
    • PS VR Headset
    • PS VR Cables
    • Stereo Headphones
    • PlayStation VR Demo Disc
  • PlayStation Camera
  • 2 Playstation Move Motion Controllers
  • PlayStation VR Worlds (disc)

The Launch Bundle’s cost is set at $499.99 USD and $699.99 CAD. The PlayStation Blog notes that if you miss out, another wave will be launched this summer. Interestingly, the core PS VR bundle ($399.99 USD/$549.99) is not available for pre-order. Not yet at least.
