The crew aboard the Waverider in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow are headed to the Old West in the next episode, “Magnificent Eight.” While we cannot wait to see Jackson in chaps and Captain Cold sporting a cowboy hat, the biggest draw for the episode is seeing Jonah Hex’s return to live-action — you know, after that awful 2010 film.

Poor Josh Brolin, both he and Hex deserved so much better. DC’s ensemble mixed-bag of villains and heroes show aims to wash the terrible taste out of our mouths. Check out the photos below. So far, they’ve at least nailed the appearance; Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech) looks fantastic.

After the events of the last episode, and Mick Rory’s telling the team they should be on the run from the Time Masters, Rip Hunter takes his band of lovable time-traveling goons to the past. Seeking a safe haven to keep low for a while, the team runs into an old friend of Rip’s–none other than Jonah Hex. Based on the photos above, their time in the Old West does not remain a safe haven for very long. Only the Legends would be in hiding, but still find time to get in trouble with a gang of outlaws. Check out the trailer below to see the whole gang in action.
