The new trailer for Suicide Squad is finally here! Released during the MTV Movie Awards, it’s the first trailer for the film since the one featuring “Bohemian Rhapsody” was released in January.

What if Superman had flown down, destroyed the White House, and ripped the President out of the Oval Office? That’s the question posed at the start of the trailer. Luckily, Amanda Waller assembles a task force of misfits and criminals to deal with any and all potential threats. Surely, this won’t have been a mistake.

The new look at the film continues the fast-paced fun fans are now used to seeing. Again, a 70s pop song, Sweet’s “The Ballroom Blitz,” was chosen to accompany the trailer, and again the choice was nothing short of excellent. The characters bounce off each other with fun quips, and we also get another sneak peek at Affleck’s Batman in action.

Suicide Squad is the first DC Comics film hitting theaters after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It follows a group of villains brought together by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) to complete an impossible mission. The cast includes Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Adam Beach as Slipknot, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc and Jared Leto as The Joker. Ben Affleck will have a cameo as Batman.

The David Ayer written and directed film hits theaters this summer on August 5.
