Disney and Lucasfilm launched a new Star Wars Force For Change campaign. Similar to previous campaigns, this one includes a big prize for donors.
Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films and Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, announced the campaign today.
Fans can pick one of four organizations – Make-A-Wish, UNICEF USA, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the American Red Cross – to donate to at the Force For Change website. Disney and Lucasfilm will match each individual donation, up to $1 million.
Donors will also be entered in a contest to win a trip to Ireland, where the winner will visit Skellig Michael — the place where the last scene of Star Wars: The Force Awakens was filmed. If you are among the first 20 to donate or raise $500, you are entered to win a signed copy of The Force Awakens on Blu-ray.
The campaign started today and ends on May 4.
