Supergirl actress, Melissa Benoist, spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the various pop culture icons the girl of steel could take on in battle. The bear from The Revenant wouldn’t stand a chance; according to Melissa, all Supergirl would need to do is give him “a big bear hug.” Jaws? No go, the actress is, understandably, terrified of sharks. How about Sharknado? Easy, freeze-breath. How would the ever-heroic Supergirl manage to save the Titanic? Even easier, by “double-fisting” it. That’s… that was her response… it makes sense, don’t judge.

But what about the Dark Knight, one of the best hand to hand combat fighters in comics and DC’s master tactician? Benoist revealed how she could come out victorious, “Supergirl rallies all the Khryptonians on the planet and I think we got him covered. He’s not a match.” There’s potential in this argument. Supergirl has more Kyrptonians than Kara and her cousin Clark. If Supergirl, the prisoners from Fort Rozz, and Non and his troops could set aside their differences and work together, they could definitely take on the Bat.

Too bad Superman didn’t have the same option in Batman v Superman. What chances do you think Supergirl stands agains the Bat if Melissa’s theory were put into practice? Supergirl airs on CBS on Mondays at 8pm EST.
