Colin Firth and Taron Egerton team up once more for Kingsman: The Golden Circle. The sequel to the hugely popular Kingsman: The Secret Service. The Golden Circle will also bring new cast members on board, namely Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges, and Julianne Moore.
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, The Golden Circle looks packed full of action as the secret agents head to the USA. Vaughn promises this sequel will be bigger, bolder, funnier and crazier than its predecessor, meaning it has a lot to live up to. Eggsy and Harry Hart meet their American counterparts; Bridges plays the U.S Firth equivalent, Agent Champagne, while Berry plays tech-guru, Ginger.
Following on from two very short teasers, the first trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle has dropped. Take a look, below.
While Kingsman: The Golden Circle is still essentially a Harry and Eggsy focused story, Moore really looks set to steal the show as the main protagonist, Poppy. Described as a life-style guru turned terrorist (what a combination), Poppy leads The Golden Circle crime syndicate; a group that brings the world so close to its end that the Kingsmen and Statesmen are forced to work together.
The trailer gives a good look at what to expect; namely lots of explosions and plenty of humor. There’s also the first glimpse of Firts as Harry Hart, who seems remarkably well despite his supposed death.
New images from The Golden Circle have also arrived, via Empire Online, which give a closer look at Egerton and Tatum in character. Tatum describes his character, Agent Tequila, as the cockiest member of the Statesmen, and a sharp contrast to the very British Harry Hart.
The marketing for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, has been superb so far, from the refusal to acknowledge the return of Firth’s Harry Hart (even though he’s listed on posters), to the teasers for the main trailer. If you haven’t seen those yet, they’re well worth watching (via Film Select Trailer).

There’s no denying that expectation for The Golden Circle is high, but from the looks of the trailer, it seems that 20th Century Fox could well have another big hit on their hands. Kingsman: The Golden Circle looks to be whole lot of fun, delivering great action sequences, combined with a strong script from Vaughn and Jane Goldman. Both of these elements, coupled with an all star cast, means that fans will be eagerly awaiting the arrival of the full movie, in September.
