Justice League VFX Artist Says There Is No “Snyder-cut”

There’s been a lot of talk over the past few days about the Justice League, specifically among Snyder fans that believe there is a Snyder-cut of Justice League with a lot of DC fans are asking Warner Bros for. The fans are so sure there is another cut they’ve created an online petition to have it released which has garnered over 100,000 signatures, even with some of the members of the crew also showing their support online. However, one VFX artist from the crew came out with an AMA on Reddit that says there is no “Snyder-cut” for Justice League.

He comments:

“1000% bulls**t. As I’ve said, of course, there is an assembly cut Zack had gone before he left, but that was 9 months ago. He himself said he hasn’t touched or interfered or been a part of the process since March. There is no cut. People like this guy (who spread the rumor) are the worst, perpetuating rumors of processes they don’t understand.”

Snyder, as most people know, left the production after the tragic death of his daughter nine months ago. This left a lot of time for Whedon to go ahead and handle most of the shooting for the movie and many people are blaming Joss Whedon for the film’s failure (though if you ask us the script didn’t help). The rumor itself was also perpetuated when Jason Mamoa commented there was enough material for two movies, but one for Snyder? Eh, doesn’t seem like it.

Reddit, as always, made sure to check their source and said that he checks out. If there is no “Snyder-cut” of Justice League then we have to guess the material Mamoa spoke about had to do with everything Whedon had filmed. At most, we may get an extended cut, but even if that happens, we don’t think there is anyway Warner Bros can salvage whatever loss they may have from Justice League.
