After the release of Batman v Superman, there were reports that Suicide Squad had reshoots being done to make the movie “funnier.” According to said reports, the only funny moments in the film were those that have been shown off in the trailers. With the film’s last trailer getting such an astounding response, WB, allegedly, had the film’s team reshoot scenes to make the film more tonally matched to what’s been seen.
Talking to Entertainment Tonight, Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) said there were reshoots, but not for the reason everyone thought. “I wouldn’t say we’re going back to make it funnier. There’s some additional action stuff that we’ve been doing, which is pretty dope. Yeah, really we’re just kind of adding in that sense.” Apparently, he was unaware of the rumors stating the reshoots were to add humor to the film. Check out the full interview below.
Sounds promising enough. Either way, the ensemble all villain movie looks exciting and that cast, arguably, can’t be beat. We’ve already heard plenty of people praising Jared Leto’s Joker. It seems as if everything else is falling into place as well. And really, who doesn’t like more action? Let us know how excited you are for Suicide Squad in the comments. Its August 5 release date can’t get here quick enough.
