Henry Cavill (a.k.a.Superman) is using his off-screen powers for good by trying to raise funds and awareness for three worthy causes nominated by Cavill and his Batman Vs. Superman co-stars, Ben Affleck and Jesse Eisenberg, respectively. If you help out you could win some pretty spectacular experiences including a red carpet appearance for the movie’s premiere.
Cavill sponsors the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, which aspires to prevent the extinction of endangered species through education and conservation projects. It also runs its own Durrell Wildlife Park in Jersey (as in the old Jersey in the UK, not the new one in the US).
Affleck’s own organization, the Eastern Congo Initiative, and Eisenberg’s sponsored The SEED Project round out the triad. Through crowd-funding site, Omaze, you can pledge funds to this joint venture and be entered to win a Batman Vs. Superman experience of epic proportions.
“You and a friend will be among the first to find out when you meet the cast at the red carpet premiere screening of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice! You’ll fly with Henry Cavill in a helicopter, snap a photo with Ben Affleck, and wreak havoc on the red carpet by teaming up with Jesse Eisenberg for celebrity photobombs. Oh, one last thing… you’re also going for a spin in the Batmobile. Isn’t it nice when they all just get along? Flights and hotel included.”
In order to draw attention to these charitable efforts, Cavill has created a video asking some very stiff authorities on their superhero preferences:
Batman Vs. Superman is in theaters March 25.
