Last week’s episode of Supergirl saw the Girl of Steel, unexpectedly, teaming up with the Scarlet Speedster. Crossing networks may have been a problem, but if so, it was behind the scenes. In The Flash, Barry Allan has been tirelessly working to build up his speed to defeat Zoom. In doing so, he jumped to another Earth — Kara Zor-El’s Earth, which, as of now, has an unspecified number. The question has since been raised of whether or not Barry and the team at S.T.A.R Labs would ever encounter Kara’s Earth-1 doppelgänger.
When the “spoiler room” at Entertainment Weekly inquired the same, executive producer of The Flash, Andrew Kreisberg, responded that “any Kara that exists on Earth-1 would also have to have been an alien. It can’t just be Kara Danvers from Poughkeepsie.” Fair enough, but surely if Team Flash comes across their Earth’s Kara, they’d have to be meeting that Earth’s version of Supergirl, as well. “Sure. Different costume, but sure,” Kreisberg explained. Good enough for us.
It’s already been announced, and shown, that Earth-2 Black Canary, Black Siren, will feature in The Flash’s penultimate episode this season. Of course, Flash/Arrow crossovers are much easier, but it’s doubtful anyone would be against seeing another of our Earth-2 heroines make the jump to Earth-1 Central City.
The Flash will return from its brief hiatus on Tuesday, April 18 at 8pm EST.
