Phew, what a rough ride. Sure, the hard working ladies and gentleman over at Naughty Dog had a far more strenuous go of it, but man, this wait has been anxiety inducing. It’s bittersweet, in a sense, but development on Nathan Drake’s last adventure has come to an end, confirmed Neil Druckmann, the title’s director and writer.

The Naughty Dog Twitter page followed up with a confirmation of its own, via an image of the game being installed on a PlayStation 4. Let’s not get jealous. Yet.

Alright, let the jealousy ensue.

Seriously, after the series’ creator and writer, Amy Hennig, left the project in early 2014, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End looked like less of a reality and more of a distant dream. Arguably, the best developer in the industry, Naughty Dog was way ahead of the rest of us and immediately pulled Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, the creative heads behind The Last of Us, to task. They’ve promised to deliver the series’ conclusion properly, by sending Nathan Drake out the way he came in — with dignity and assurance that the job will be done right… even if he fumbles a couple hundred times along the way.
