Victor Martinez is a concept artist who helped create the visually stunning world seen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. On his Facebook Page, he posted some of the artwork he created to help the world come to life on screen.
The image above is breathtaking; Superman in the foreground with Batman in the back. The graffiti on the building to the left perfectly encapsulates the tone of this meeting.
Batman, the solemn lone wolf as always. Could this possibly be him waiting with traps for Superman to show up?
According to Martinez, the one above is “an early concept for the Memorial Park created in honor of Superman – the area of Metropolis destroyed by the battle in the first film, and the bunker housing the crashed Kryptonian spaceship.”
This Superman Memorial looks completely different from the one in the film. Perhaps it wasn’t practical, but it’s very cool.
Seriously, who else wants that top image of Batman and Superman on their wall?
