The studio behind The Witcher 3 has revealed they won’t be showing any of their Cyberpunk 2077 project at this year’s E3, but have hinted that we may be seeing something different from them at the expo. It has been revealed that the studio are working on a new video game, in a format they haven’t previously explored, which could make its first appearance at this year’s E3.

Although it has been announced that the Blood and Wine DLC is the last we will see of The Witcher series for a while, CD Projekt Red co-founder, Marcin Iwinski hasn’t denied that the new game will have ties to the series. This has led to rumours that the video game will be based on The Witcher 3’s popular in-game card game, Gwent. Currently, this is all just speculation, but with E3 just around the corner, hopefully we’ll be finding out more about exactly what this new project is.

Blogger, journalist and 100% nerd. If there are dragons involved, I probably love it, whether it's Game of Thrones, The Hobbit, Skyrim, or watching voice actors play Dungeons and Dragons on Twitch. When I'm not writing, I'm playing video games, reading fantasy books, or marathoning Netflix's latest Marvel show.
